Best Soup And Burger In The Area
I just cannot stop talking about the amazing dishes from the Riverbarn – Incredible ‘Can’t Get Enough Of’ French Onion Soup and the most succulent tasty burger I have eaten in years, despite hunting desperately for different ones throughout the region to judge for our on-coming competition. My wife actually named it the most delicious burger she has ever eaten outside the USA – And they really know about Burgers over there. * Nice touches at the Riverbarn – Crisp White Linen Napkins – Great choice of newspapers – Immaculate Lavatory hung with beautiful Winnie The Pooh drawings!*

Open 10am to 5pm daily & Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm with last orders at 9pm. B & B all year round & evening meals are available daily, except on Wednesday, for those staying.

The Beckford – Risen from the Ashes
Now looking absolutely stunning with some beautiful updates to an already terrific place. The new attic suite is wonderful and very cleverly brought together with the teams usual good taste and attention to detail. New colours and subtle changes make the overall effect exceptional.

Pythouse Café – Ace Place
What a terrific place. I celebrated my wife’s birthday by having lunch at The Pythouse Kitchen Garden, Shop & Café and I can honestly say it was absolutely perfect. Every bit of the meal tasted fresh and exciting with all the dishes being created so carefully and lovingly. I could not fault any part of the lunch or service. The beauty about being at Pythouse is that it is so relaxing, warm and comfortable while everybody working there is so calm, polite, fun, and welcoming. Simply nothing is too much trouble to make your visit an absolute delight. 10 out 0f 10 on all counts! With a clever, simple but yummy menu, which I am told, changes most days.
I really cannot wait to try their delicious teas and wonderful home-made cakes!
Oh by the way, we took along our own Champagne – A Huge Saving! So please give the Pythouse Café a try – You will not regret it.

NB – Although, because it was raining, we needed our umbrellas to visit the Lavatories, once there, they were pleasantly hygienic and comfortable with disabled access and baby-changing table if needed, and like the Kitchen, very, very clean & up together.
